A Coastal Renovation Transformed by Light
The gorgeous views of the water and boats on Mission Beach in San Diego are matched only by the stunning lighting inside this recent renovation of a 1980s beach house. Dianne Sheridan, owner of lighting design and specifier firm Dianne Sheridan Designs, explained how the project got started:

"When the homeowner contacted me and said he'd like to have, in his words, really cool lighting, I saw that it's a fairly contemporary design with really clean lines. I knew that I could use linear fixtures to give him what he was desiring, which is really cool lighting. After I saw the space, the homeowner said go wild, I thought, okay, let's do it! We immediately went to PureEdge and used basically most everything that they offer."

After seeing an island was to be in the center of the kitchen, Dianne knew linear lighting was a natural fit. TruQuad™ is a recessed, plaster-in linear lighting system designed for seamless integration into 5/8" drywall, offering architects and lighting designers a versatile tool for creating bold geometric compositions. Dianne adds, "It's really cool at night, the way that the light shines through the glass table and projects these prisms up on the ceiling, that gives even more interesting textures and vibe."
